1st March - 13rd January	Ötzi²º A special exhibition at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology to celebrate Ötzi's, the glacier mummy, 20th birthday. The exhibition will focus on the latest scientific findings, but it will also include oddities and absurdities. The common thread that emerges from the exhibition is: What impact has Ötzi had on us?
28th January - 17 March	Rob Johannesma - World - Wielding In the last few years, Johannesma has focused on an exploration of the symbolic qualities of photographic reproductions. By means of a sophisticated comparative methodology of interpreting the images he attempts to establish a resonant relationship between the icons of the artistic-historic heritage of Western society and the materials offered by the globalized media universe. Exhibition in the Gallery Museum.
6th - 9th April	Igor Loro 2012 - International Icehockey Tournament U12 16 teams, 8 nations, 300 athletes and 64 games. Bolzano: Palaonda, Sill - Merano: Meranarena - Egna: Würtharena. Free entrance.
14th April	Ötzi Alpine Marathon This very special event in South Tyrol which is open to individual athletes as well as teams, runs under the motto "From Flowering Orchards to High Mountain Glaciers" and involves three very exacting sports disciplines, mountain biking, running and ski tour.
18th - 20th May	Bolzano - Bozen Wine Exhibition. The Bolzano Wine Exhibition is a show of excellence featuring the top achievements of South Tyrol's wine producers. Visitors can taste and discuss wines directly with the producers.
20th - 21st May	International Classic Car. By the Veteran Car Team. Piazza Walther square.
29th June - 8th July	Südtirol Jazz Festival Alto Adige Jazz Festival in Bolzano, Brunico, Vipiteno and Bressanone. The stars of world jazz play in the streets, the squares, in medieval castles and in modern theatres. Ten days full of emotions in the heart of the Alps.
7th July	Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike One more UCI MTB Mountainbike Marathon in Alta Pusteria/Hochpustertal (Italy).
14th - 21st July	Craft Bike Transalp A mountain bike race through Germany, Austria and Italy.
22nd July	"Kirchtag" St. Magdalena Each year a splendid festival, the local "Kirchtag", take place in the tiny hamlet of St. Magdalena, located on a hill bearing the same name which overlooks the northern part of Bolzano. The religious phase is followed by feasting and celebrations and, of course, a tasting of "St. Magdalena" wines.

31st December	New Year's Eve party In the Walther square wth music, dance and culinary delights.
