How to reach Bolzano

By air: the nearest airport is situated in Bolzano. Airports in the immediate vicinity are in Innsbruck (Airport Innsbruck, 1.30 hour by car, ca. 120 km) and Verona Villafranca (Airport Verone, 1.15 hour by car, ca. 150 km). There are good connections by train and bus. Other national and international airports are: Venezia Marco Polo (Venice), Treviso S. Angelo, Milano Linate and Malpensa (Milan), Munich.

By rail: all IC and EC trains stop in Bolzano. The central train station is situated in the center of the city, ca. 200 metres from Walther square.

By car: from the Brennero motorway A22 exit Bolzano Sud if you are coming from the South (Milan, Venice, Verona, Trento) or Bolzano Nord if you are coming from the North (Munich, Innsbruck, Brennero).

Local bus service is very convenient from cities like Bolzano, Merano, Bressanone and Brunico. Integrated Transport and Fare Service: timetables and fares. Travel in comfort using buses, cable cars and trains, including those run by Italian State Railways.
