Speck, delicious cured and seasoned raw bacon, is among South Tyrol's most popular and traditional food products.

This aromatic delicacy is celebrated in a festival of its own, but with plenty of other regional gastronomic delights to savour together with fine local wines and with a full supporting programme of music and Tyrolean customs, bands and dancers in bright traditional dress in Bolzano's main square, the Walther-Platz square.
